Born and raised in Brooklyn NY and a 1984 graduate of St. John’s University, New York, with a BSc in Transportation and Logistics.
Founder of SeaRose International LLC, a provider of professional logistics and consulting services to shippers, and receivers, of Commercial, Food Aid, and Humanitarian Assistance cargo.
Thirty-years’ of professional experience in international freight forwarding and logistics, vessel chartering, foreign inland transportation, and U.S. Government sponsored food aid donation programs.
In addition to his professional activities, Jim has been actively involved in a variety of leadership roles with local, national, and international organizations, including:
Knight of Magistral Grace in the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes, and of Malta (commonly referred to as the Knights of Malta) where he serves on the Grants Committee and the Task Force on Cuba of the Orders’ Federal Association. The Order of Malta operates numerous hospitals around the world and works to alleviate suffering and hunger.
Member of the Board of TechnoServe, Inc., an international relief and development agency based in Norwalk, CT
Secretary/Treasurer and Member of the Board of Governors through July 2009, of the International Propeller Club of the United States (Port of Washington DC), a grassroots, non-profit organization, whose membership resides throughout the United States and the world. It is dedicated to the enhancement and well-being of all interests of the maritime community on a national and international basis.
Immediate past Chairman of the Board of YMCA’s Camp Letts, Edgewater MD. Camp Letts, part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington DC, is a traditional summer residential and day camp and also operates a year-round conference and retreat center.
